What is your policy regarding COVID?
We follow all guidelines published by the Scottish Government. They can be found here.
Do I need to know who my ancestors were to book a tour?
No and we can help you discover who they were.
Do you offer other tours that aren't focused on ancestry?
Yes, although our focus is ancestry, we have many other types of tours. Examples are Golfing, Highlands and Islands, Hiking, Food and Culture, Scottish Writers and Inventors, and Viking trials. Let us know and we’ll organize a tour catered to you.
Can I wear a kilt on your tours?
Yes and we encourage it! The kilt is worn proudly throughout Scotland and you’ll see many who wear it casually or with formal attire.
What is the weather like in Scotland?
This is a frequent question we get and can tell you with confidence that the weather frequently changes. We’ll give you a list of recommended clothing for the season you’re visiting. We recommend dressing in layers and always have a jacket and umbrella on hand. Short sleeves, skirts, and shorts are common in the summer but have a jacket nearby just in case.
How active or fit should I be to join one of your tours?
We can accommodate persons of all physical abilities. If you have a concern or accommodation, please let us know.
What are the costs of your tours?
The base cost for our 5 day tour is $5,200 pp based on a 2 person minimum. Each tour is unique and therefore costs vary depending on itinerary, length of stay and number of guests traveling in your group. Contact us to organize your tour.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, personal checks, and wire transfers. We do not accept cryptocurrency at this time. Payment can be made securely online, we will send you details once you’re ready to book.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, there is a deposit of $200 per person at the time of booking. The deposit is refundable up to 60 days after the time of booking.
Should I get travel insurance?
Travel insurance is recommended.
